Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognized university.
Candidates must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI or possess a Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) qualification from ICMAI.
As per the current notification for 2026, the selection is based solely on a written exam and subsequent merit list. There is no mention of a personal interview round.
The age limit is 21 to 30 years as of 07 March 2026. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates is applicable as per government rules.
The application fee for PSU recruitments like BSNL SET is generally higher than typical SSC/Bank exams. This is standard for specialized executive-level entries to ensure serious applications from qualified candidates. Fee concessions are provided for reserved categories.
