For NON-ITI: Passed Class X with 50% aggregate (40% in Maths & Science). For EX-ITI: Passed relevant ITI trade (50% marks) AND passed Class X (50% marks).

NO WRITTEN EXAMINATION. Merit is calculated from academic marks. For Non-ITI: Based on Class X percentage. For Ex-ITI: Based on simple average of Class X and ITI percentage (minimum 50% in each). Marks/CGPA conversion must be done precisely as per the candidate's board rules.
For NON-ITI: Passed Class X (or equivalent) with minimum 50% aggregate and 40% marks in Mathematics & Science. For EX-ITI: Passed relevant ITI trade with minimum 50% marks AND passed Class X with minimum 50% marks.
Minimum age is 14 years (18 years for hazardous trades). The upper age limit is 35 years for all categories as per the Apprentice Act and NAPS-2 guidelines.
